Situation
We have been approached for advice regarding the fraud and tampering resistance of excise stamps.
Our Solution
After material and optical analysis of the stamps, our team was able to deliver a detailed report on the security features applied to the stamps and to point out the weaknesses of its protection.
In addition we proposed some improvements concerning the substrate and the graphic technologies used such as:
1- Material Support
The support had to present better temper resistant properties with a special protected shape cut to avoid it from being entirely detached from the product without disruption of its integrity.
2- Printing Procedures
On the other hand, we proposed a combination of first and second level security features to integrate in the existing stamp design.
Results
Our concept of improvement of the substrate and the integration of visible an invisible security features. With the newly proposed tailored stamp, the client would stay up-to-date with state of the art protection for his products.
